Anyone know any good bars in Vancouver?

My wife has been to Vancouver on business a few times. She recommends The Morrissey, also known as “the Mo,” on Granville. She says “It’s an Irish type pub with nice ambience and a huge fireplace.” She recommends avoiding the Shark Bar, as sometimes it is a dance club with loud techno music. Although, if you start to miss Russia, that could serve to remind you….
Happy trails.

Yes, I’m in Seattle. Although only another few short weeks before I return to the equally rainy shores of England.
Thanks for the tip about The Morrisey, Dave. I didn’t visit it this time, but I’ll save it for another visit.
I’m sad to report that Vancouver is not much like Siberia in winter. The closest I got to ‘that Russian feeling’ was eating at a Brazilian Steakhouse where I was served by a Russian waitress.
Visited the San Juan islands, too, on the way home. Spent a lovely sunny day with friends, sitting by the shore on a large driftwood log and drinking beer. Heaven.
