Publius Pundit and democracy

by Andy on January 9, 2005

Publius Pundit is a new blog covering the spread of democratic revolutions around the world.  Although global it’s heavily covering the Former Soviet Union at the moment.  Already it contains posts on democracy in Ukraine, and the lack of it in Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.

Without it, I’d have missed the news that President Bush has just signed the Belarus Democracy Act 2004, providing for sanctions, and democracy promotion activities in Belarus.  A good act, I think, which seems to be looking into democracy promotion over the medium term.
