It looks like the revolution itself is all over bar the shouting, although the hard work of forming a new government is yet to come. Government buildings have been occupied in Bishkek and around the country, and tv has taken over by the opposition. Ministers have either surrendered or fled and President Akayev is no-where to be seen at the moment, although rumours are flying as to his whereabouts. The most common rumour - and it is just a rumour at the moment - has him flown out of Bishkek by helicopter to Russia’s airbase at Kant, where his flight to Moscow awaits.
