Ukraine - Words and Deeds

Dan McMinn has created a new section to his Orange Ukraine blog - Words and Deeds.  In his own words:

On this page I will try to keep track of as many promises made by the Yushchenko government as possible, to rate whether the promises have been kept. The page is still only half-formed at this point, but I hope to really develop it. If you have any promises I have missed, especially if you have a source to give me as well, please email me.

Judging by the page so far, Yushchenko seems to be, by and large, keeping his promises, with just a few failings.

I notice also that Dan has a report on Ukraine’s 2005 budget, which has just been approved by the Duma.  According to Dan, the budget pretty much balances, while still managing to find plenty of cash for spending on social programs.  Also particularly welcome is the news that the budget was approved by a huge parliamentary majority - even parties that are labelled pro-Kuchma voted for it.
