Kursk, fifth anniversary

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the sinking of the subarine Kursk, a tragedy in which all 118 crew members died.  ITAR-TASS details some of the memorial events to be held across Russia today.

Remembrance ceremonies will be held by all of Russia’s fleets and military districts. Flags will be flying at half-mast. Church services will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg and wreathes laid at the sailors’ graves.
