		<description>It is interesting, however, that not only does Putin now appoint the governors but he also holds them as slaves, deciding whether they can or cannot resign.  How long before the people of Russia follow suit, I wonder?  Russia can&#039;t go on losing 1 million people ever year and receiving an influx of dark-skinned immigrants without sooner or later banning Slavic exodus, just as in Soviet times.</description>

The myth isn&#039;t that oil and gas are the only source of income for the Russian economy. The myth is that Russia has no significant manufacturing sector and depends wholly on the sale of finite raw materials to surivive, with oil and gas generating by far the most revenue, a great majority of which is seized by the state in the form of taxes.

And, oh yeah, the &quot;myth&quot; is absolutely 100% true.</description>
