The latest blog on the Russia block is “Russia in the Media“, which aims to review coverage of Russia in the English language media.
The Economist is Author Fedia Kriukov’s first target. They are a little too pessimestic about the state of the Russian economy, it seems:
[The Economist have] predicted 20 or so out of the last 0 collapses of the Russian economy.
Tsk. You’d think a magazine called The Economist would be embarrased by such a record…

Andy notes:
“The Economist has predicted 20 or so out of the last 0 collapses of the Russian economy.”
La Russophobe has predicted at least 50 of the last 0 collapses. High time the Economist got its act together!
It’s a pity you praise this blog for claiming that the Economist has “predicted 20 collapses” of the Russian economy without citing a single specific article making such a prediction in the past. Frankly, it sounds like propaganda to me. The very idea of this unknown Russian claiming more economic sagacity than the Economist is simply silly.
COPYDUDE: I challenge you to cite one specific post from my blog where I make a prediction of economic collapse that has since been proved false. Until you do so, I label you a mendacious liar (and I am not suprised to see you “copying” this blog in question by speaking without referencing any source material to support your silly schoolboy claims).
To update the record, I’ve challeged the blogger to document his facts in the comment section and he’s responded that he is unable to do so, and admitted he is relying on inuendo and rumor rather than fact. The blogosphere should heap scorn on outrages of this kind, it is harmful to our reputation and confirmatory of stereotypes.

In that spirit, please provide documentation of your claim that Viktor Yanukovich was a KGB agent.
