I’m back from my travels, and its time to trawl through my RSS feeds. Here’s my pick of Russia related blog posts from the past 7 days:
- Copydude has posted photos of a bunch of Nashi activists running around Kaliningrad - dressed as 500 rouble notes.
- Darkness at Noon is a new blog from an expat in Moscow who lives on President Putin’s daily route to work.
- Sweden is increasingly fearful of Russia, and turning to Norway for support, says Edward Lucas.
- Stunning pictures of the Moscow metro, from English Russia.
- My morning with Yulia Tymoshenko – Laurence Jarvik posts his observations on her recent press conference in Washington. It seems she has ambitions of a tilt at the Ukrainian presidency in 2009.
- Lenin in Siberia!
- Wolfhound – Russia’s answer to Lord of the Rings? Russia Blog has the review, complete with pictures.
- Pictures of Russian buses. I think I’ve been on the one from Irkutsk. Nice view, bumpy ride.
- Next week’s Miss Russia final will be held in Russia. Sochi Blog has the all the news you need to know.
- Sean looks at Russia’s brand of capitalism and democracy.
- Tim Newman explains why Russians hate Americans.
- Just Russia held its first party conference this week. Is the party a Kremlin stooge, or a genuinely independent party?
- The US has decided it wants a missile defense site in the Caucasus. Captain’s Quarters thinks its a blunt message to Putin that the US will not be cowed. Somehow, I can’t really imagine the US being cowed by anybody at the moment…
OK. That’s quite enough linking for one day.

Thanks so much for mentioning Darkness! I’m the ‘evil force’ that had been pushing Rubashov to start a blog- his group emails were just too amazing and wasted on the majority of his contact list, IMHO.
